UDIT enhances its FabLab Proto Space with NomadTech‘s CNC machines
UDIT, the University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has taken a major step in its commitment to technology by integrating five CNC machines from NomadTech into Proto Space, its product design lab. This acquisition strengthens its focus on hands-on learning and technological experimentation, preparing students for the challenges of design and digital manufacturing.
Our state-of-the-art CNC technology at Proto Space
Proto Space is a 1.000 m² lab dedicated to technology, science, innovation and materials. It’s an experimental space designed to foster creativity and applied research:
- Aerospace design and manufacturing.
- Autonomous vehicles and the Internet of Things (IoT).
- 3D printing across multiple technologies.
- Advanced robotics and microelectronics.
- Virtual and augmented reality systems.
By incorporating our CNC machines made in Spain, students can develop prototypes and projects with real-world impact, enhancing their digital manufacturing skills and exploring opportunities in the design and technology industries.
- Fox PRO: a full-board CNC milling machine designed for automation and optimised production.
- Atheon CO2 Laser XL model: a large-format laser cutter and engraver for personalisation manufacturing.
- Red Fox 2 M model: a highly versatile 3-axis CNC milling machine.
- Ion Plasma PRO: a high-speed and high-precision metal cutter for thicknesses up to 15 mm.
- OKU Desk: a desktop laser cutter and engraver that combines functionality and design.

UDIT leads in academic and technological excellence
Founded in 2022 –after two decades at the forefront of education as ESNE University School of Design– UDIT is Spain’s first and only university specialising in Design, Innovation and Technology.
Its Madrid campus spans over 21.000 m², providing a learning environment where technology is a core pillar of education.
