Cast methacrylate is a versatile material and widely used for its performance, wide range of colours and excellent resistance to ageing. It’s widely used in both customisation and signage, for items such as logos, emblems, plaques, pictograms, display boards, directories, keyrings, trophies, synoptic charts, memorial plates, marine applications, storage labels and indoor/outdoor signage.
This is a rigid acrylic plastic material with both sides suitable for engraving and a glossy finish in a solid colour –protected by a plastic film–. Clear methacrylate allows for reverse engraving, enabling the design to appear embedded within the sheet. Thanks to its excellent properties and ageing resistance, it’s ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
It can be cut with a saw, drilled, countersunk, edge-finished, bevelled, bent, trimmed and screen-printed. Both laser and tungsten carbide end mills are used for engraving and cutting.
