What materials can the Red Fox XL mill?

It works wood, MDF, plywood, solid wood, melamine, engineering plastics (acrylic, PVC, Delrin, HDPE) and composites with clean edges. It can also handle non-ferrous aluminium in some setups, although it is not the recommended option for metals.

What software and connection does the Red Fox XL use?

It connects to the computer over USB and is controlled with NomadPanel (included). Jobs are prepared in Inkscape with the NomadTech plugin or in compatible CAM software such as Aspire, VCarve or Fusion 360, which generate the G-code.

How does the Red Fox XL differ from the smaller sizes?

The XL is the largest size in the Red Fox family, with 2,000 mm of length versus the 1,700 mm of the L or the 700 mm of the S. It shares the Makita 710 W motor, NomadPanel control and 80 mm of usable height with the rest of the sizes.

Does the Red Fox 2 come in an XL size?

No. The Red Fox 2, the second generation with WiFi control and web interface, is only made in S and M sizes. The XL size is exclusive to the original Red Fox family, controlled over USB with NomadPanel.

It is built by Nomad Technologies SL (NomadTech) in Valladolid, Spain, with its own engineering and workshop since 2016. It is Spanish-made CNC machinery with close support.
