What materials can the Red Fox M mill?

It works wood, MDF, plywood, solid wood, melamine, engineering plastics (acrylic, PVC, Delrin, HDPE) and composites with clean edges. It can also handle non-ferrous aluminium in some setups, although it is not the recommended option for metals.

What software and connection does the Red Fox M use?

It connects to the PC over USB and is controlled with NomadPanel (included). Jobs are prepared in Inkscape with the NomadTech plugin or in compatible CAM software such as Aspire, VCarve or Fusion 360, which generate the G-code.

The main difference is the working area: the Red Fox M offers 750 × 1,100 mm and the Red Fox L goes up to 1,000 × 1,700 mm. Both share the Makita 710 W motor, NomadPanel control and 80 mm of usable height.

The Red Fox 2 is the second generation: a sturdier frame, ball screws, a height-detection probe and control over its own WiFi network and web interface. The Red Fox M uses USB and NomadPanel. Also, the Red Fox 2 only exists in S and M sizes.
