Why does the Atheon Laser XL not cut metals?

It is a CO2 laser (10,600 nm infrared), optimised for wood, plastics and organic materials, not for cutting metal. On metals it only allows engraving or marking, in some cases with a prior marking solution.

What is the working area of the Atheon Laser XL?

The usable working area is 1,300 x 900 mm, the largest in the Atheon Laser family, aimed at serial production and large-format parts. Height-adjustable table with 200 mm of travel.

What laser power does the Atheon Laser XL have?

It fits a 130 W sealed hermetic CO2 laser tube, the most powerful in the range, with water cooling. It allows a cutting thickness of 0-30 mm depending on the material.

What software does the Atheon Laser XL work with?

It works with NomadTech's own AtheonDesign software (also compatible with RDWorks), on Windows 7 and Windows 10, and accepts the formats of the main design programs.

What is the difference between the S, M, L and XL sizes of Atheon Laser?

The working area and the power vary: S 500x300 mm and 40 W, M 700x450 mm and 60 W, L 900x600 mm and 80 W, XL 1,300x900 mm and 130 W. The XL is the top of the range in surface and power.
